Okies for Monarchs is bringing the Pollinator Party to Elk City!

Okies for Monarchs is bringing together native plant growers, conservation organizations, educators, and community members to celebrate pollinators while creating lasting habitat.

Event details:

• Date: Saturday, May 2 (12:00-4:00pm)

• Location: Arrowhead Community Center, Elk City

• 600 Western Dr, Elk City, OK 73644 (Located directly on historic Route 66)

• Outdoor event with indoor space available in case of rain

• Plenty of parking

• On-site café inside the community center

What’s planned:

• Native plant and pollinator-focused vendors

• Educational booths and a few speakers (to be determined)

• Wild Roots and Sanctuary Gardens already confirmed as plant vendors

• Installation of an additional 100 square feet of pollinator habitat at the site. (This is an expansion of the habitat planted this fall in partnership with KOB)

• 100 milkweed plants being given away to the community

• Surf Bar Food Truck on site
